Brammo Gives You Speed
Yamaha might have introduce an electric scooter for you to commute from A to B eco-friendly, but perhaps some of you might be turned off by the scooter’s space, and speed. Need something abit more daredevil and thrill? Then Brammo has just the thing for you.
Last year, Brammo showcase their Enertia motorcycle to the public, an electric bike. But the Enertia wasn’t much of a woo-er as it lacks performance. With a top speed of 80kph (50mph), it an ‘all-show-no-go’. Since then, Brammo has gone racing, a lot, and has now managed to once again woo the public with a new electric bike called Empulse, that has the ‘show-and-go’ factor. How fast? An electrifying 165kph (102mph). That seemed like a norm in typical bike world, but the Empulse is an EV. Horsepower is rated at 55 with 59lb-ft of torque and a weight of 390lbs.
There will be three models offered: the 6.0, 8.0, and 10.0. These indicate the endurance of the bikes, with the lowest managing 60 miles of “average range” and the top of the line 100 miles, each of which can be extended by keeping your right wrist in check. The 6.0 will naturally be the cheapest, starting at $9,995, the 8.0 for $11,995, and the 10.0 will go for $13,995. But surely the price will get reduced once tax-incentives for EV are implemented, for some countries that is.
